So, let's begin with a review of all the important features of the Mac Pro 2012 model.

As usual, every new Apple release is an improved version of their successor. The Pro Mac is no different. It comes with quite noticeable changes and improvements.

Compared to its predecessor, the external outlook and design are pretty much the same. Same aluminum build, unibody and design logo. While that may not be a necessary con, the focal point of this device is its retina display (for the new Retina Pro version)

Apple seemed to up their hardware game this time. The Ivy dual-core CPU core i5 (3210M), (which is a terrific choice) that fits perfectly with the speed demands of the Mac Pro series. It comes with two independent processors "core" on a single independent chip and a 4GB of RAM. Its 2.5GHz memory is configurable to 3.1GHz using turbo Intel boost. This gives the device noticeable speed and makes it faster than the 2011 model.

Talking about the ports and connection, the external connection has also been upgraded. You now find USB 3.0 port connection, instead of the USB 2.0 that came with the 2011 model.

The display remains unchanged. The Mac Pro uses a 13.3-inch display with a reflective glass layer on top. The resolution is at 1280 x 800 pixels and with that, an aspect ratio of 16:10.

The native in-built storage capacity is 500GB and spins at 5400 RPM. If you ever decide to go for an upgrade, it comes with a fee that you have to incur separately.

The durable battery life is one of the highlights of the Mac pro series. The lithium polymer battery gives you up to 7 hours of wireless web at full charge. If you are multitasking or using it for more battery-draining activities, it may be lesser.

The audio sound quality is decent and great. The battery life is superb. The build quality is quite outstanding. The overall performance is quite satisfactory.

But if you are a lover of gadgets and a die-hard Apple fan, we think there are so many other new Apple devices that can offer you much more than what you can get from your Mac Pro (2012). Which is why we think you should sell your Mac Pro or trade in Mac Pro.
