Sell LG G6 Plus
The LG G6 Plus was billed to replace the G6 and serve consumers who want better performance than the G6 offers.
Considering the reception of the LG G6 Plus, it made a good splash. Sporting a 5.7-inch QHD+ LCD display and a Snapdragon 821 CPU, the gadget is IP68 water and dust resistant.
Under the hood, you will fund a more substantial 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, unlike the G6's 4GB RAM and 32GB storage space. It has a MicroSD card slot, USB-C charging, and a 3300mAh battery.
For photography and videography, the G6 Plus packs a dual 13-megapixel rear camera (with both normal and wide-angle lenses) and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The primary cameras have Optical Image Stabilization and Phase Detect Autofocus and the ability to record video in up to 4K at 30 frames per second.
We are in 2021 now, and the G6 Plus is not the flagship device of the LG mobile family like it was in 2017. That means LG has launched better devices since the G6 Plus; the G8X ThinQ and V35 ThinQ are excellent examples of advanced hardware from LG.
You can swap or sell your LG G6 Plus on Gizmogo to upgrade to any of the latest LG devices. The South Korean company has a long tradition of creating smartphones that push the edge of innovation, like the LG G5 and G8X ThinQ.
LG G6 Plus Specifications
Design info: Despite its "plus" name, the G6 Plus is not larger than the original G6. It has the same design and button layout. The dual-lens camera is built into the device's central back, with the fingerprint sensor just a notch below it.
On the front, you will find the 5-megapixel and the G6 Plus's full-vision display. The G6 Plus's FullVision Display makes it an excellent smartphone for watching video content. Images look spectacular on the device.
Interestingly, the G6 Plus is available in a few more colors than the G6, including Terra Gold, Marine Blue, and Optical Astro Black, and it comes with a nice set of quality B&O PLAY headphones.
Capacity info: As stated earlier, the device has a massive 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. It has a MicroSD card slot.
Size and weight info: LG G6 Plus weighs 163g and measures 7.9mm (thickness) x 71.9mm (width) x 148.9mm (length) (height).
Display info: The G6 Plus comes with a 5.7-inch QHD+ FullVision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2880 x 1440. Like the original, it is covered by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3, making it tough and capable of surviving a short drop.
The G6 Plus's display supports HDR content. Also, details are sharp because of the QHD+ resolution, and the display is overall very pleasing to the eye.
The model we have has a 32-bit HiFi Quad DAC chip and comes with a pair of Bang & Olufsen Play headphones in the package. The DAC outperforms standard performance on other phones, but it really shines when paired with a higher-end pair of headphones, such as the Audio Technica ATH-M50x.
Camera info: The device comes with dual 13MP sensors with relatively wide apertures of f/1.8 and f/2.4. One of them has a 125-degree field of vision, which is helpful for both small spaces and wide areas. It works effectively even in low-light settings with a single light source.
On the other hand, the front-facing camera only has 5MP but has a wide aperture of f/2.2, making it suitable for interior scenarios when illumination isn't ideal. Take a look at the sample photos we took.
Water-resistance info: It is not water-resistant. Needless to say, it is simple in design while yet being incredibly expensive and attractive. Its IP68 rating protects it from dust and water.
Chip info: In terms of performance, the LG G6 Plus is a mixed bag. On the one hand, the additional 2GB of RAM really seems like it makes a difference. The G6 Plus seems snappy-as-hell in regular, moment-to-moment use.
On the other hand, the Snapdragon 821 CPU, which was cutting-edge in April, isn't looking nearly as crisp these days. As we took the G6 Plus through our benchmarking procedure, this became increasingly clear.
Battery info: In terms of battery life, the G6 Plus falls just a tad short of what its 3300mAh battery would imply. Independent tests show that the device could barely last 10-12 hours of mixed-use without a charge during the day. Fortunately, it supports both wireless charging and QuickCharge. So you can always top up conveniently.
