Sell LG VU PLUS
The LG VU Plus was a direct successor of the LG VU. It was a collaboration with AT&T back then when mobile TVs were coming to a sensation. The original VU has a lovely 3-inch display, and to maximize its mobile TV feature, it came with an antenna, but most users found this tacky. The VU Plus was an upgrade in many ways; it comes with a capacitive touchscreen display, a 3.0-megapixel camera, GPS, the slide-out QWERTY keyboard but gone is the antenna.
LG has discontinued the LG Vu Plus, so it might not be possible to get a newer phone model in stores across the country except for used ones on websites like Amazon. It was sold for $149.99 with a two-year service agreement with AT&T.
Apart from its key features, the LG VU Plus was stylish and sleek, it came in only black colors, but the device's front had a silver finish around the capacitive buttons. It is not a bulky device, and it might seem like one at first glance, except you carry it. The VU Plus weighs only 112.0 grams, so it's a pretty light plus, you can easily fit it in your pocket, and it won't create a noticeable bulge.
It was the perfect entertainment device when compared to other Android devices released within that period. The star feature of the VU Plus was its support for the AT&T Mobile TV and its carrier's live mobile TV service. It could also get good work done, and its performance speed was averagely decent even though it was considered a flaw that LG retained the user interface that came with the original VU.
The guts and appeal of the LG VU Plus were truly commendable, but it's been over ten years since it was released, so if you have been a long-time user, you should be bored by now. If this is correct and you have been looking for the perfect way to switch from your VU Plus, we have something for you at Gizmogo! We buy used devices for cash from their owners, and we also offer trade-in options if you are interested in getting a newer and more suitable device. Interested? Call us today to begin.
LG VU Plus Specifications
Design Info: unlike the LG VU, the VU Plus does not come with a plastic device. LG switched up its looks to make it more in-line with an upgraded version of the LG Xenon. It comes with a gunmetal finish which is accented with a subtle chrome border around the touchscreen.
The top and bottom edges are well-rounded, giving it a well-constructed feel even though a large chunk of its exterior is made from plastic. It feels very durable; it is one of those devices that can withstand a hard fall, and it looks like it is built to last. It doesn't feel hefty; you can tuck it away in your pocket without feeling any slight inconvenience.
The front of the phone is home to 3.0-inches resistive touchscreen. Beneath it, you will find some adequately sized physical buttons for the send, end, and back/clear keys, all of which come with a tactile response.
Ports and connections in the VU Plus still maintain the same position as the LG VU. There is a microSD slot on the phone's right edge for quick access; sadly, there is no dedicated 3.5mm headset jack. In its place, the micro USB port located on the topside can be used for all kinds of connectivity- charging, PC connection, and headphones. The volume rocker and task manager key sit on the left side of the device.
The phone's back is home to the 3-megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash and speakerphone next to it. You can remove the phone's back cover by just sliding it up a bit, which will then grant you access to the battery and SIM card slot.
Display Info: The LG VU Plus comes with a 3.0-inches TFT resistive touchscreen with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, a 5:3 ratio, and a 155 PPI density. The screen looks crisp and colorful. You can adjust the color, screen's brightness, and the backlight timer.
Camera Info: The VU Plus has a decent 3.0-megapixel rear camera, and it doesn't come with a front camera. The camera quality is not so excellent, the colors are not so bright, but the autofocus works well to reduce blurriness. It has an inbuilt camcorder that can record in two resolutions, with recording modes for either MMS mode or up to available space.
Capacity Info: It comes with a 50MB internal storage, and it also comes with a MicroSDHC slot that can accommodate a microSD card expandable up to 16GB.
Size Weight Info: The VU Plus weighs approximately 112 grams and measures 109 x 53 x 15mm in dimensions.
Audio Info: It comes with a single firing speaker located at the back that is loud enough for indoor use. The speaker produces a hollow monotone output, so it is best to use a stereo headset. It doesn't come with the standard 3.5mm headset jack, but you can use the stereo Bluetooth.
Battery Info: The battery life is not so great. It comes with a removable Li-Ion 950 mAh battery. It has a rated battery life of 3 hours talk time and 12 days standby time.
Water-resistance Info: It is not water-resistant.
