Sell OnePlus 9

The most expensive OnePlus smartphone is its 9 lineup consisting of the OnePlus nine and its Pro version. Launched in March 2021, the OnePlus 9 is the company's best yet, and it gives them a VIP spot in the flagship smartphone market. OnePlus is a unique brand, and they've made their way into the hearts of users, but they never really got close to the 'big in terms of camera quality. In the OnePlus 9, however, the manufacturers promised that it is 'your best shot' so far.

OnePlus joined forces with Hasselblad to improve the camera on its flagship. The collaboration was to adjust the color optics specifically and fine-tune the camera's sensors to match Hasselblad's high-end cameras so that they can attain that stellar camera quality and nail it once and for all.

The OnePlus 9 shares a lot of features with its predecessor, the OnePlus 8T. It maintains the flat screen of the 8T, which was a necessary change from the curved screen in the 7T with its troubles. The metal frame is now plastic but metal-looking; it is still glass all over and features the pinhole for the front-facing camera.

The battery of the OnePlus nine is something to discuss. Apparently, we've seen this setup before in the 8T, its predecessor, the dual-cell battery. The two relatively small batteries combine to reach 4500mAH, and the quick charge of the OnePlus nine can power these batteries fully in 30 minutes. This battery can keep you going for a full day on average use, which is fair enough for the powerful processor it supports.

We've also noticed that OnePlus flagship price has been on a linear increase since they began, and now they're approaching the range of the most expensive phones. It's still cheaper, though, for now. Won't you love to own the OnePlus 9? Contact Gizmogo today, and we can kick start the process.

OnePlus 9 Specifications

Design info: If you're familiar with its predecessor, the OnePlus 8T, then you already know what the OnePlus nine looks like. The only difference is in its appearance is the rear camera module which in itself is not so different. On the screen area, there's hardly any difference between the two.

The screen is flat, as we've all come to appreciate them after the coveted curved screen taught us a lesson in the 7T. The front camera is in a punch-hole on the top left, and the bezel is as thin as ever. The sensors are embedded beneath the display on the top, ambient light, and proximity sensors.

A reinforced fiber plastic frame sandwiches the glass body in front and at the back. It's hard to tell that it is plastic by simply looking, and even when held, it doesn't feel plastic. The buttons on the OnePlus nine are arranged a bit differently from the 8T. The volume buttons are on the left side and were brought lower for easier access. The power button and Alert Slider are on the right side.

The device comes in three beautiful colors. There's the Monotone blue with an Arctic Sky resemblance, the Astral Black with a glossy, matte finish, and the third Winter Mist color, with an attractive reflective glossy violet finish.

Audio info: The 9 has its main loudspeaker beside the USB port and the earpiece as the secondary speaker. As for loudness, the audio output is loud and clear, with no degradation of sound whatsoever.

Capacity info: Don't expect an SDcard slot from OnePlus; 128GB; 8GB RAM and 256GB; 12GB RAM, which OnePlus thinks should be enough.

Size & weight info: Dimensions are either 160 x 74.2 x 8.7mm and 192g or 160 x 73.9 x 8.1mm and 183 grams, depending on where you're leaving.

Display info: The OnePlus 9 is large at 6.55 inches. It has a 2400 x 1800 pixels resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and supports HDR content. It is an 8-bit Fluid AMOLED display with a brightness that maxes out at 1100nits. It automatically reduces its refresh rate to conserve battery and switch between color modes of sRGB and the Vivid P3 when needed. It features a Vibrant Colour Effect Pro mode that improves the saturation and quality of videos. There's a fingerprint sensor, an optical one on the lower part of the screen. It works just fine. The whole screen is protected with Gorilla Glass 5.

Camera and video recording info:

The OnePlus main camera was updated to the Sony IMX689, consisting of a 48MP standard camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP monochrome camera, all tuned by Hasselblad. It has dual-LED and records videos from 8K @30fps, 4K @30/60fps, to 1080p @30/60 or 240fps. The 16MP selfie camera records videos in 1080p @30fps and, like the main camera, features Auto-HDR.

Water-resistance info: The T-Mobile version of the OnePlus 9 has an official IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, but it's specific to only the units sold on T-Mobile. But this is only an official statement.

Performance info: The OnePlus 9 CPU is the latest Snapdragon chipset, and it's one of the first to bring this new processor to the market. The Snapdragon 888 has eight cores, being more efficient than the previous 865 by as much as 25%. Its graphics are powered by Adreno 660, which is as good as 35% better performance than the 650. It runs on Android OxygenOS 11 and 12GB RAM.

Connectivity info: There's Wi-Fi and all that accompanies it, Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD and A2DP, GPS, and NFC.

Battery info: The OnePlus 9 uses two 2250 small cells that combine with a 4500 capacity battery. The good thing about this battery is that it can be fully charged in 30 minutes with the OnePlus dash charge. This speed is attainable because the 65W charger charges both batteries simultaneously.

On a 3G talk time test, the battery lasted 28 hours and about 10 hours of web browsing. It's not so bad. You can watch videos continuously for 15 hours and all but the fact that the 8T performed better is what's a bit disturbing.
