ONEPLUS 8

Every OnePlus product launch positions the company as one of the major players in the smartphone world. Certain features about a OnePlus mobile phone separates it from your regular Android device- great screen display, performance speed, and battery life.

The OnePlus 8 is no exception to these great features that are typical of a OnePlus product. It was released in April 2020, and the retail price was capped at $699 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The other model has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which costs about $799. Both T-Mobile and Verizon sell the phone. However, you will pay a little extra for the phone at Verizon, where a version that works on the carrier's 5G network costs $799.

The OnePlus 8 is a good phone at a good price. It is not such a conventional phone; it has some exclusive features that you won't find in your regular Android phone, which makes it even more desirable.

It features an affordable 5G connectivity, a stunning display, solid performance, a long-lasting battery, an impressive camera, and a stunning design. The OnePlus 8 is a functional device; the display and processing speed work together to give users a delightful experience. It's a big device, and this shouldn't be a surprise for users who have kept up with the OnePlus products since it first hit the market. Regardless of its size, it is comfortable to hold. It is also slim and not too heavy, even at 180grams.

OnePlus went over the top with the color options of the OnePlus 8. It comes in three colors and finishes: Onyx Black and Interstellar Glow colors, while the Glacial Green has a matte texture.

The OnePlus 8 is a great phone if you don't mind denting your pocket for an Android device. However, if you currently own the OnePlus 7T, there is no need to get the OnePlus 8 because the features are quite similar with just a few upgrades. However, if you are currently using anything lower than the OnePlus 7T, the OnePlus 8 would be worth switching over to. If you want to get a good value on your used devices, you can contact us today at Gizmogo. We buy devices from customers at the best market value with no hidden charges. You can also exchange your used devices with us for a newer model that suits your preference.

ONEPLUS 8 SPECIFICATIONS

Design Info: One striking feature about the OnePlus device is how simple it can be without looking bland yet stunning. The OnePlus 8 comes with a great metal frame and a dual-curved glass body. The curved glass design gives it an elegant look, and the phone feels surprisingly compact despite its big 6.55-inch display.

The colors are probably the biggest giveaway of the OnePlus 8. It also has a mirror-like finish that changes hue depending on the angle from which you view it. It is worth looking at and showing off, although it is very susceptible to nasty fingerprints as a downside.

The edges of the display wrap around the tops of the phone's sides, separated only by a thin silver of aluminum supporting the chassis. It creates a striking look, making the OnePlus 8 easier to grip than other phones with flat screens and rounded edges. It feels great to hold but is hard to reach the top of the screen with your thumb unless you have huge hands.

From the front of the device, you can tell that OnePlus has opted out of the common notch selfie camera space and has gone with the punch-hole selfie camera near the top left corner of the screen. 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protects the back of the phone, and there is a vertically aligned camera module at the top center.

Ports and connections are not so different from the OnePlus 7T. The buttons are easy to reach, and the alert slider is handy; you don't have to stretch much. A USB Type-C port, SIM tray, and main speaker are all lined up at the bottom.

The volume rocker is situated along the left edge, while the power button can be found on the right edge along with the alert slider.

Display Info: It sports a 6.55-inches AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, with a 402 PPI density. The display is extremely vibrant and smooth, the black levels and contrast are excellent, and the colors pop in 'Vivid' mode without going over the top.

Camera Info: The OnePlus 8 is not so great compared to even the OnePlus 7T. It features a 48-megapixel main shooter with its f/175 aperture and 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera joined by a 2-megapixel macro lens. It also has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.

The primary camera captures some crisp shots in bright to average lightning with good dynamic range, especially with the auto HDR. Captured images look sharp with a good amount of detail. The 16-megapixel front camera is also quite good when your face is well-lit.

Capacity Info: In terms of storage space, there are two options with the OnePlus 8- the 128GB with 8GB RAM and the 256GB with the 12GM RAM. There is no microSD slot.

Battery Info: It has a non-removable Li-Po 4300 mAh battery. It supports the fast charging 30W technology, so you don't get to waste a lot of time topping power on your device. On a battery test, the OnePlus 8 can last up to 11 hours on continuous web surfing over 150 nits of brightness on T-Mobile's LTE network.

Audio Info: It has stereo speakers at the bottom of the phone, and the wireless audio support is top-notch. It doesn't come with a headphone jack, but it comes with Bluetooth 5.1, aptX, aptHD, LDAC, and AAC. If you have truly embraced the wireless headphone train, you wouldn't have a problem with the absence of the conventional 3.5mm jack.

Weight Info: The OnePlus 8 weighs 180 grams and measures 160.2 x 72.9 x 8.0mm.

Water-resistance Info: The OnePlus 8 is water-resistant; it can survive a big dunk in water.

Processor Info: It runs on the Android 10 version upgradeable to the Android 11 and is powered by the Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 5G. Performance all-around with the OnePlus 8 is nothing short of fantastic. It is snappy, fluid, with no hint of lag even when opening heavy applications. The gaming experience is also something to look forward to.
