Sell Microsoft Surface Pro 4 i5
Microsoft finally delivered the goods with the Surface Pro 4 after years of development and millions of dollars spent on advertising to convince us that a tablet could replace a laptop. The Surface Pro 4 solidified the Surface’s position as the gold standard for hybrid Windows tablets, with robust processing power, a perfectly sized display, excellent aspect ratio, and a few critical add-on accessories.
Microsoft also got the operating system right. For a long time, users complained about the tacky nature of Window 8. Finally, the Redmond-based company listened and developed Windows 10, which was launched in July 2015. The new Windows is significantly better than its predecessor.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 i5 was a beauty in its time, but it is safe to say that its heydays are behind. Since its release, we’ve seen newer versions of the Surface series, like the Surface Pro X. You can’t go wrong if you choose the Surface Pro X over the dated Surface Pro 4 i5. Anyways, keep in mind that you can sell your Microsoft Surface Pro 4 i5 on Gizmogo or swap for another gadget.
Design info: The build of the Surface Pro 3 was one of the few things Microsoft did correctly, and the company was wise enough to retain the design in the Surface Pro 4. The device sports the same sturdy magnesium body. Its design is appealing, practical, and unique.
The edges are rounded and feel comfortable in hand. There is enough grip space on the sides, thanks to the slightly beveled edge.
Overall, the tablet is highly portable, weighing only 774 grams. The Surface Pro 4 weighs less than the Surface Pro 3, which weighed 810 grams. It’s also slightly slimmer: 8.5 mm vs. 9.1 mm for the Surface Pro 3.
If you add the Keyboard to the unit, it will weigh 1.08 kg. The Surface Pen (22 grams) also bumps up the total weight of the device by some grams.
Capacity info: The device is available in four memory options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, which can be combined with 4GB RAM, 8GB RAM, or 16GB RAM. If you want a higher performance and memory space, you should get the 16GB RAM and 512GB or 1TB combination. These variants are costlier than the lower specced variants.
Weight info: The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 i5 weighs 774 grams and measures 11.50” x 7.93” x 0.33” (292.10mm x 201.42mm x 8.45mm).
Display info: The Surface Pro 4 i5 retains the same display as its junior colleague, the Pro 4 m3. The screen measures 12.3-inch with a pixel resolution of 2734x1824. The screen calibration of the device is great, and it has a 3:2 aspect ratio, which is the same as a standard piece of A4 paper, making the Surface Pro 4 ideal for reading and working on designs and layouts for eventual paper use.
Overall, the Surface Pro 4’s screen is ideal for any use. For example, you watch a family movie on the device as it offers great viewing angles - so several eyeballs can watch at the same time. The screen also renders game graphics impressively, and it is excellent for video editing.
Camera info: Surface Pro 4 has two cameras for taking photos and recording video: an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and a 5-megapixel high-resolution selfie camera. The image quality of the camera is good but not outstanding. So you shouldn’t expect smartphone-level photography from the camera.
Videography: The rear-facing 8-megapixel camera can record in 1080p. Videos recorded with the rear camera were particularly sharp in testing.
Water-resistance info: The device is not water-resistant. Consequently, you shouldn’t use it underwater. And for safety, we advise keeping it away from water bodies or a liquid.
Chip info: The Intel Core i5-6300U (2.4 GHz) is at the heart of this 12-inch device, a dual-core chip that could also be used in subnotebooks or notebooks. The Surface Pro 4’s 6300U can (in theory) achieve a 200 MHz higher Turbo clock and supports additional features such as vPro and TXT. In conjunction with a TPM chip, the latter can be used to prevent data access by highly privileged applications (Intel’s “Safer Computing” initiative).
Battery info: The Surface Pro 4’s battery size reduced slightly compared to the Surface Pro 3 (from 42.2 Wh to 38.2 Wh). However, the Surface Pro 4’s chipset is more energy-efficient than the SP3, so it almost makes up for the difference.
The SP4 has a runtime of 13 hours and 11 minutes under minimum load (low brightness, Wi-Fi turned off) and 2 hours and 18 minutes under heavy load (Battery Eater Pro Classic Test, high brightness). However, applying these extreme results to average daily use is less practical. The run time of your battery depends on use intensity. If you’re a heavy user, don’t expect 13 hours of runtime from your battery.
