Esse guia completíssimo abre mão do que está a vir, explorando o The Final Shape da Destiny 2 e como os laptops melhoram sua vida de jogo.
With the newest instalment of the RPG shooter Destiny 2, sitting at Chapter 11 (and counting) of the ‘Light and Darkness Saga’, a chapter with a name about its own ending unfolds as a new, final shape for the game, expanding worlds, storylines and gameplay content for the long-running, but currently-on-hiatus game series. ‘The Final Shape’ is not that ending. But the newest and currently the final expansion for Destiny 2, out 4 June, portends a vast range of possibilities for new skirmishes and challenges in story and strategic gameplay. An exploration in how we creatively game-ify our minds. And if a laptop can make that possible, then surely it must be a good thing. Destiny 2 is one of the many games that I like to play while booting up my laptop to create a complex build, or while travelling through the vast virtual settings of Destiny 2, in waiting for live events to start in the game.
One of the most anticipated features rolling out with ‘The Final Shape’ is the loading of Loadout slots. Now players will be able to create and swap between builds as fast as their minds can concoct them. The responsiveness of powerful laptops is what allows for such fluidity, whether you’re shooting to kill the Witness, or exploring the inner workings of the Traveler.
At the centre of ‘The Final Shape’, for example, is the introduction of the Prismatic subclass – a groundbreaking ‘multiclassing’ system that has the promise to completely change the way you build your characters. Laptops are also featured here, the beefed-up processing power behind those Prismatics, and the possibility of optimal combinations is promised, but only extant through laptop gameplay. Pick up the newly rolled-out Prismatic subclass, or the special class items that Bungie assigns only to exotics. The story is not just about the skill you choose, but the machine that empowers those choices.
Going back to ‘Lightfall’, I have a lot to say about how the games were deepened by introducing these systems to customise how you play, and it’s the laptops that are at the centre of our efforts here, the place where we create the formulations of Aspects and Fragments and mods. When ‘The Final Shape’ stretches this canvas even more, there’s even more potential to be a gamer and a ‘laptopper’ at the same time…
Getting the right laptop is important to making Destiny 2 as optimal as possible. And ‘The Final Shape’ is a daunting undertaking to play, so your machine needs to be up to the task, or you’ll get frustrated. Specifics will inevitably depend on what you’re prepared to spend, as well as your personal preferences, but there are certain considerations that I’d say are important:
In its final moments, ‘The Final Shape’ becomes the most intricate entanglement yet between Destiny 2 and laptops. In this buildcrafting culture and moment, where our very choices can change the course of cosmic warfare, the laptop becomes our blacksmith’s shop, our actual hammer literalising our metaphorical small-d destiny. But to conclude, it’s not just a tool – it’s an extension of your gaming self. In The Final Shape, they serve as the conduit that turns your imagination into a real-shaped victory. If you’re a hardened veteran Guardian, welcome back; and if this is your first trip into Destiny 2, now you know: the future of the Light and Darkness story may well rest on the shoulders, speed and smarts of your laptop.
