Do you want to sell or trade your Samsung SGH-T119?
Yes? Good, you’re at the right place.
But first, I need you to determine if you want to trade your phone for a better version, or if you want to sell it for cash?
After you decide, we’ll walk you through the steps to cash in or trade up.
In the meantime, let’s review your phone.
The Samsung T119 is as simple as it gets. While you can text and send multimedia messages, this phone is for talkers. The T119 has a candybar design. Basically, it’s a rectangle with straight lines and sharp corners. And it’s very compact. While you can take it on the go, you can’t take it anywhere. Its cheap plastic design might fold under pressure if you live your life on the wild side.
There’s not too much going on with the display. You get a 1.6-inch screen with very low resolution (128 x 128 pixels) and support 65k colors. As you can expect of a phone of this caliber, the graphics are rather stale. But you can customize the backlight duration, contrast, and font size, color, and style.
Navigating the icon based menu is a breeze. The navigation array is spacious and tactile. It has a square four-way toggle with a central OK key. You can also assign shortcuts to each of the four toggle keys for quick access. There’s also talk and end/power keys. But strangely, there’s neither a dedicated clear/back key nor a speakerphone key.
Pressing the buttons on the keypad feels stiff, but it’s tactile and roomy. On the left side, the T119 has a charger port/headset jack. It’s a proprietary jack. And, of course, you can only use one peripheral at a time. If you want to plug in your favorite headphones, you’ll have to purchase a 3.5 mm headphone jack adaptly.
You get nothing, and I mean nothing, outside of basic phone features. There’s no camera or games to mention. Heck, there’s not even expandable storage. Then again, there’s no use for expandable storage. It’s not like you can store images or download games anyway. So all you get is a phonebook and a few useful tools.
The phonebook can hold up to 300 contacts. Each contact can store up to four numbers, an email address, and notes. You can also assign contacts to groups, pair them with a ringtone, and oddly, the phone supports caller ID.
As far as the tools go, you get an alarm clock, calendar, task list, calculator, and world clock. More features include a currency and unit converter, a timer, a stopwatch, and a tip calculator. And finally, there’s a speakerphone, voice memo recorder, and vibrate mode.
There are a few customizables. You can change the background colors, greetings, and wallpaper. If you want more ringtones, go to T-Mobile’s t-zones to download more tones. Or you can use your own recordings as ringtones.
The best thing the T119 has going for itself is its call quality. Calls are very good. It’s loud, clear, and little to non static or interference. Voices sound natural but a little hollow at times. And the phone picks up a little background noise in busy areas. But it’s hardly noticeable. The speakerphone is pretty much the same. The sound is loud and clear. My only gripe is that you have to put the phone extremely close to your mouth to be heard. Other than that, the T119 has excellent call quality.
Now that we got the review out of the way, let’s discuss your selling options.
There’s two available deals for your Samsung T119. You can choose to:
