In the time of ever fast forwarding technological innovations, Samsung has once again proved to be the torchbearer by teasing the masses with the rumoured upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Series. After the Apple iPhone 16 series, the next big thing rumoured on the street to be launched soon is the simultaneous launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Just before the start of 2021 came the first glimpses of the Galaxy S25 Plus, as shared through renders and alleged CAD documents by Android Headlines and the well-known leaker OnLeaks. The latest Galaxy renders depict a few small, but potentially meaningful, design tweaks to the Galaxy S series.
Much of the Galaxy S25 Plus’ charm has been carried over from the S24, a device that wouldn’t look out of place in 2018, with its flat-edged rounded design. Look more closely and you’ll see that thick camera rings showing up like dressing for a party, a stylish ripost to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. But the foldable reference isn’t merely about style. Samsung is clearly ready to show off its photographic prowess with improved cameras that will rewire smartphone photography.
Apart from the camera, it is believed that the Galaxy S25 Plus could be equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset – marking a big shift from the world-class Exynos 2500 chipset the company used to produce for different markets. This move could be Samsung’s way of ensuring that its competitors will still have a hard time competing in the race for the best smartphone experience in the coming years. While Samsung may be had a bit of a struggle on its hands producing 3nm-chips, Samsung has a reputation of not compromising user satisfaction.
Rumoured enhancements include an upgrade to 12GB of RAM, which suggests that the Galaxy S25 Plus isn’t just matching its Ultra sibling. It’s upping the ante on what’s possible in a flagship smartphone.
While never losing its essential 6.7-inch display size, and (crucially) its much-vaunted 4,900mAh battery – to maintain its identity as a Galaxy S – the Galaxy S25 Plus will be continually improved from the outside in.
The rumours start going around, anticipation for the Galaxy S25 line-up is building, the next generation of Samsung’s premier mobile devices set to launch the Galaxy S25 series sometime in early 2025. Featuring the Galaxy-S25, Galaxy-S25+ and Galaxy-S25 Ultra, we’ve been told these state of the art devices will change the way we use and view mobile electronics forever.
As the Galaxy S25 series is about to be revealed, I cannot help but feel humbled by everything Samsung has achieved since the Galaxy series launched just a few years ago. The Galaxy series started with a mission to not only create smartphones, but also to bring innovation and design to a whole new level at a price that everyone could afford.
Make no mistake: this concept of unlocking the Galaxy is not just a clever playing on cosmic terminology; each device in the Galaxy fleet might promise only gateways to unknown worlds, but it is the worlds available to its users that truly expand — the worlds of connectivity, of content, of creation, of convenience.
On the eve of the Galaxy S25 release, we are not waiting for the next phone, but the next phase of our joint technological evolution. We stand on the brink of going into another galaxy, and the cosmos of this new Galaxy is expanding. Samsung’s Galaxy series remains the star guiding us toward that future.
