Rumbling around the digital ether are the whispers as to when Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will finally arrive on PlayStation 5 (PS5). The tactical shooter already has a foothold on Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms, and it looks like it is ready to start conquering new territory. The keen-eyed spotted this a few hours ago, and judging by the Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating Information (TESRI) it is rated 18+ and confirmed for the PS5.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, a survival-oriented and cooperative shooter set in the dystopian universe of Warhammer, is now coming to the PS5 – and it’s not a mere upport, it’s a quantum leap.
Darktide isn’t just the next in the long line of Warhammer entries, but a signal for how great co-operative play can be Warhammer: Vermintide, a 2015 video game, established a namesake niche in the tactical shooter genre that has since ballooned into something truly beloved.
Darktide is another example of a game that Fatshark isn’t resting on. The developers continue to tweak and add to it, and on 26 September they’re releasing the ‘Unlocked and Loaded’ update.
