Gizmogo Welcomed Southern California’s Tech Guru of KTLA Channel 5 News to the Headquarters Located in Chino, California

CHINO, CA / ACCESSWIRE / May 28, 2021 / Gizmogo welcomed southern California's tech guru Rich DeMuro of KTLA Channel 5 Morning News to the headquarters located in Chino, California. DeMuro was interested in the company's outlook on reusing electronics and filmed a news segment on how selling old electronics back to Gizmogo will give new life to them, while helping the environment.

It was said by staff that DeMuro toured the entire facility, including the offices and warehouse. The tour was led by president of the company James Wang and Marketing Director Roxanna Faithful, where they showed Rich where workers separate electronics by the tons. "It is important to separate the electronics before we safely dismantle them," explained Wang. The news reporter and his film crew also visited the electronics department, where Gizmogo's trained technicians were performing the data deletion process on a few devices. "We take each phone and put it through a deletion process. Even if the customer deleted all of the information off of it, we go in and wipe it once more to ensure it's been completely deleted," explained a tech when asked a question by Rich.

Rich was especially fascinated with the type of electronics that were stored in one of many bins of cellular phones and other small devices. One particular device caught his eye, the old Zune phone. He was excited to find it and posted a video about it on his personal social media explaining it was the competition to the old iPod and had not seen one in years.

"We explained to Rich that one of the philanthropic projects we're working on is getting the shells of some of these tablets we have here to vendors, that can give them knew life," explained Roxanna Faithful. "We would love to get them in the hands of children. The plan is to donate these tablets to schools in disadvantaged countries, where they can give children everywhere a good education." Gizmogo is known to integrate philanthropy projects heavily in its company culture. Gizmogo believes they can make a difference - one device at a time.

The news segment on Gizmogo will be featured on Rich DeMuro's segment Rich on Tech, that will air Friday, May 28th, at 5pm on KTLA Channel 5 news and will be mentioned in 3 other news channels thereafter.
