LG Aristo 4 Plus
The LG Aristo 4+ is the successor to the LG Aristo 3. It is one of LG’s entry budget phones that cost as low as $60 now. The device comes with entry-level specs and features and doesn’t try to appear more than it is worth.
Budget phones play an important role in the smartphone market. Consumers in developing countries are increasingly embracing smartphones at an alarming rate thanks to the dropping prices of smartphones and the availability of cheap models from even top manufacturers.
Competition in the budget and entry-level point of the smartphone market has been fierce, and prices have been plummeting as companies strive to expand their reach. The not-so-sophisticated and more obscure brands tend to drive the market in areas where affordability is the most important factor in consumer behavior towards purchasing smartphones. But like every other piece of equipment, affordability usually means mediocre features.
LG, a higher-end brand, has a reputation for producing budget phones that have good specs. LG’s K20 and K30 both cost less than $100 and come with standard specs. If you’re after a budget phone that can function adequately as a smartphone, you should consider LG’s Aristo 4+.
The Aristo 4+ was released in September 2019 and was initially sold for about $150. It had a 3000mAH battery, 16GB inbuilt storage, and a 13MP main camera with autofocus. It came with Android 9.0 Pie and supported a 4G network. Its processor is an average quad-core Snapdragon chip that won’t lag unless you task it unnecessarily. It has 2GB RAM and a 5.5-inch display area. Everything you want on a smartphone is present on the Aristo 4+, and today, it cost less than $100. It even features fingerprint unlock.
Affordability is relative to specs, and the Aristo 4+ is just average in this regard. If you’d like to own one, contact Gizmogo today. You can also sell your LG Aristo 4+ to us or any other gadgets at a great price.
LG Aristo 4 Plus Specifications
Design info: The Aristo 4+ is reminiscent of the K40 design, another entry-level LG smartphone. It has plastic all over and doesn’t try to look expensive. There’s no Gorilla Glass protection or IP rating, so you probably want to get a rubber case for it.
The bezels of the Aristo 4+ are thin and reduced considerably to accommodate the 18:9 aspect ratio of the 5.5-inch screen. The skinny bezel does give it a modern look.
The back holds a 13MP camera in a vertical orientation with its LED flash. The back panel has a platinum-looking black finish, which is resistant to scratches. A fingerprint reader is right under the camera, and LG left their Logo boldly printed on the lower. The fingerprint is a bit slow and sometimes unresponsive, but it works.
There’s a prompt and responsive power button on the right side which works very well. The left side has the volume buttons and an additional dedicated button to turn on your Google Assistant.
The bottom side has a speaker, a headphone jack, a microphone, and a micro USB port. This USB port is disappointing, and it is easy to guess why. LG used the older USB Type-A port, which is not a good move in 2019, where Type-C is the trend. We believe LG should know better.
Audio info: The audio quality during calls is good, noise cancellation is effective, and calls are clear, but outside that, the speakers have a mediocre output. At maximum volume, audio from videos or music lose their quality and become tinny. Even at low volumes, the sound is still flat. The headphone jack is its saving grace.
Capacity info: The internal storage capacity of the Aristo 4+ is 16GB, with only about 8GB available for use. There’s room for expansion up to 2000GB via microSD card.
Size & Weight info: The Aristo 4+ has dimensions of 146.8mm for its height; it spans 71.4mm across and has a thickness of 84mm. Its weight is 150grams.
Display info: The screen size is 5.5 inches, and it is an LCD screen. It has a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels that result in a rather dull 295-pixel density. You won’t call this display sharp, but it is still useful.
Camera and video recording info: On the rear side, there is a 13-megapixel sensor. It doesn’t impress even in good lighting situations as pictures come out a little blurry and noisy. You don’t want to try it under poor light. The 5MP camera in front is worse. You can record videos in Full HD with the rear camera.
Water-resistance info: There’s no water-resistance feature on this device.
Performance info: This device is powered by Snapdragon 425 and 2GB RAM; it runs on Android 9 Pie and is enough to run the basic phone functions.
Connectivity info: There’s Bluetooth 5.0, all the Wi-Fi connections with dual-band, GPS with A-GPS, and M3 – T3 hearing aid.
Battery info: Its battery is a 2980mAh capacity that can squeeze up to 5 hours on extreme use over Wi-Fi streaming HD videos. Standby time is up 26 days.
