Sell LG Nitro HD

LG is famous for making long-lasting gadgets for every price class. Whether it is a washing machine, a Tv, or a smartphone, the South Korean company delivers the best.

Following their tradition of excellence, LG launched the dependable LG Nitro HD. The device comes with remarkable features for its generation. That includes a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage (with a card slot for up to 32GB), and an 8-megapixel back camera.

The specs of the Nitro HD were considered mid-end in 2011 when the device was launched. However, we are in 2021, and standards have changed. For those of us in the US, super-fast phones are the norm. If you own an LG Nitro HD, it is likely collecting dust in your locker or a resting pad for something. Whatever the case may be, consider putting your device to better use. Rather than watch your old phone become an electronic waste, sell it for cash or swap it for another device.

Gizmogo can buy your used smartphones, including LG Nitro HD, G3, Escape 2, and other LG devices. Our service is fast and easy. Try us today.

LG Nitro HD specifications

Design info: The Nitro HD’s design excels in a few key areas, including the screen, form, and textured back panel. Obviously, the most marketable feature is the device’s 4.5-inch 720p display. At the time, LTE-enabled devices weren’t popular, so the Nitro HD’s LTE compatibility was also a big deal.

The device is portable in hand. You shouldn’t have any issues using it with one hand. LG opted for a plastic back cover, which feels a little cheaper than the aluminum covers. However, the back cover has a textured surface, which improves the feel of the device.

You will find the USB port on the top edge of the device. The port has a plastic cover, and we don’t expect it to last long, considering the importance of the USB connector.

Capacity info: LG has generously equipped the phone with 4GB of internal storage and a preloaded 16GB card. Thanks to the SD card slot, you can expand storage up to 32GB. The inbuilt storage is paired with 1GB RAM.

Size & weight info: It’s a large phone, measuring 134mm x 68mm x 10.3mm (5.3in x 2.7in x.4in), but it’s slimmer than the Motorola DROID RAZR and weights an easily tolerable 136g (4.8oz).

Display info: The Nitro sports a 4.5-inch, 1280 x 720 IPS display that produces crisp colors. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy SII’s super AMOLED screen, the Nitro HD’s display does not show oversaturated colors.

The glass is also gently curved, which allows it to slide smoothly and beautifully into the bezel without any harsh edges or visible seams; it is also more tolerant of sideways swipes. It has great viewing angles, with very little degradation as you move off-center.

Camera info: The Nitro’s 8-megapixel rear-facing camera isn’t much to write home about, and that is not surprising. Back in the day, 8-megapixel cameras were not exactly what they were. Some had the title without the result. However, the Nitro HD’s camera is on par with the cameras on most other high-end smartphones.

The camera captures clear and sharp images in good light conditions. But it loses its effectiveness in low light and has a very slow shutter speed, making it difficult to use for any action.

The 1-megapixel front-facing camera is poor but adequate for video chat. Again, this is unsurprising. There is so much you can expect from a 1-megapixel front-facing camera.

Videography: The device can capture 1080p video at a frame rate of 30fps. This is quite impressive considering that the Nitro HD launched in 2011.  You can record decent videos with the camera. The production value increases if you are recording in good light condition.

Water-resistance info: LG Nitro HD does not have any water resistance. So you shouldn’t use it underwater.

Performance info: The Nitro HD runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread layered with LG’s proprietary operating system. This creates some sort of bloatware, but it doesn’t show much. The device is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and a respectable 1GB of RAM. The performance of this setup is limited. Anything beyond the stock apps, the device will struggle noticeably.

Battery info: LG fitted this phone with a huge 1830 mAh battery to aid with the drain from the large screen and 4G LTE. There is no doubt that the battery drain would still be noticeably fast. If you’re a heavy user, you would need a mid-day recharge frequently.
