Optimus Pro

Before the arrival of high-end Apple phones, there was a time when large screen-sized Android devices were all consumers wanted. The LG Optimus Pro was one of such phone smartphones that stood out for its big, blazing and beautiful screen size and response to lovers of Samsung's big-screen devices.

It was announced in February 2013 and released in April of the same year and was retailed for $495 across most select stores.

The LG Optimus Pro was more than an attempt; it showed how the third time could indeed be a charm. Not only does it boast powerful quad-core specs, but it also features excellent performance, beautiful screen display, IR blaster, a QRemote app, a sturdy build, a long-lasting battery, and smart software for the big screen.

Its features made it a smart workstation and an entertainer. It can be the device that ties together your whole multimedia setup at home. It is light enough and has multiple ways to stream multimedia, making it suitable for screen time with a loved one.

The LG Optimus Pro was certainly a good rival for the Samsung S4 in terms of features and price. It ticked most boxes back in 2013, but it cannot be compared with savvy Android phones in today's highly competitive market. Still, using this device might be understandable if you are an average user with no expectations other than basic functionalities. However, if you are a power phone user, the LG Optimus G will not meet your needs, considering present realities.

So, if you own this device and you want to sell it for cash, or you are interested in upgrading to another device that checks all your current boxes, you can call us today at Gizmogo. We are available 24/7 to get you closer to your next big device!

Design Info: Without mincing words, the Optimus Pro sets itself apart in terms of design. The build of the Optimus Pro is dominated by glass-both the front and the back. It has a smooth look with well-rounded corners, and despite its beveled screen glass, it manages to pull off a premium and quality feel.

It phone is big, but surprisingly, it is light. Compared to the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 11, it looks and feels more like a phablet because of its wide 5.5-inches screen. It is easy to carry about; you won't feel the discomfort of weight, but it is not a phone that will fit comfortably into your pocket. The LG Optimus Pro is available in White and Black color variants.

The front of the phone features its 5.5-inches HD screen display. The bezel on the sides of the screen looks thin, and it isn't thick by any means. Above the phone's display are the centrally located earpiece, a proximity sensor, and the secondary 2.1MP camera next to it.

Below the display is a hardware Home Button flanked by capacitive Back and Menu keys. The Home key does not protrude out much like most Android phones and looks like it is almost concealed.

On the left side of the device are a customizable Q-Slide key and the single-piece volume rocker below it. The volume rocker appears more raised than the Q-Slide key, which helps touch the orientation. The right side houses the Power/Lock key.

The 3.5mm headset jack, Infrared Blaster and a secondary microphone sits at the top, while the Micro-USB port and the microphone are located at the bottom of the device.

The Optimus Pro has a removable back panel that covers the phone's back with curved edges, and it is entirely made of plastic. It also has a glossy finish making it prone to smudges more than is acceptable.

You will find the 13-megapixel camera lens, the LED flash and a tiny round speaker right at the upper part of the back. The lens is surrounded by a raised, almost circular enclosure which is visible.

Peeling off the back cover, you will find the battery compartment with the Micro-SIM and microSD card slots right underneath it.

Overall, the Optimus Pro is solidly built with a practical design, and it has good looks. It feels solid without giving an impression of being bulky, although it is not so big on the grip.

Display Info: The Optimus Pro features a 5.5-inches IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a 16:9 ratio and a 401 PPI density. The screen display is impressively sharp, images and text look crisp and sharp. The colors look vibrant, and the brightness level is amazing even when used outdoors.

Camera Info: The LG Optimus Pro sports a 13MP back camera with LED flash and a 1.9MP front-facing camera.

The image quality of the photos shot with the Optimus Pro's camera is decent enough. Pictures taken outdoors are better, except that colors can sometimes be a little saturated than expected.

Capacity Info: It has an internal memory of 16GB and 2GB RAM. There is also a microSDXC dedicated slot that can accommodate a microSD card expandable up to 32GB.

Size & Weight Info: The Optimus Pro weighs 160 grams and measures 150.2 x 76.1 x 9.4mm.

Battery Info: The Optimus Pro is powered by a removable Li-Ion 3140 mAh battery. It can last a full day on medium usage, including about 80 minutes of talk time, streaming videos over Wi-Fi and video playbacks.

Audio Info: It comes with a single firing speaker located behind the phone. The speakers are clear enough with moderately strong volume. There is also the typical 3.5mm headphone jack for additional audio support.

Water-resistance Info: No, the LG Optimus Pro is not water-resistance.

Processor Info: The LG Optimus Pro runs on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and it is powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor combined with 2GBB RAM and an Adreno 320 chip (400 MHz) for processing graphics.

The performance is blazing; you can open and close applications in the blink of an eye., heavy graphic websites can be loaded with no lags, and the gaming experience is equally good.
