Sell MacBook Pro 17 2009

The 2009 MacBook Pro 17-inch is a hit among editors (video and image) and media professionals. Accurately dubbed a cinematic wonder, the MacBook Pro impresses in several ways, from its solid build to its slimness and performance.

By 2021, the 2009 MacBook Pro may just be a chunk of aluminum without juice for top-speeds, but it is still a dream device for some. If you're in the US and own the 2009 MacBook Pro 17-inch, it may be time to cash in on the device. You can sell or swap the MacBook Pro on Gizmogo. The process is fast and easy. Payment is made within 24 hours of verifying the gadget's condition at our facility.

MacBook Pro 17 2009 specifications

Design Info: The casing of the 2009 MacBook Pro is cut from a single sheet of aluminum, giving it a clean and timeless appearance. Its design is nearly identical to that of the smaller MacBook and MacBook Pro 15 models. The only difference is that the 17-inch MacBook Pro is larger. The design is less harmonious than that of the smaller Macbook due to the significant gap between the keyboard and the case's borders.

The aluminum case's craftsmanship is excellent. The battery compartment is removed, removing the only protruding component of a typical laptop (the thin metal lid of the MacBook and MacBook Pro 15 doesn't always seat correctly).

The gaps between interfaces are characteristic of Apple. They're neat, and the display now shuts entirely flat due to the new closing mechanism used on the other Unibody Macs.

A single FireWire 800 port, Gigabit Ethernet, AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi (supporting 802.11n draft and 802.11a/b/g), three USB 2.0 ports, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), an iSight camera, a backlit keyboard, and separate audio input and output jacks are all included (each of which auto-switches between optical-digital and analog). Built-in stereo speakers, a mono microphone, Apple's MagSafe power connector, and a Kensington lock slot round out the MacBook Pro's features. The laptop's ports are all on the left side, with the optical drive slot on the right.

Would you like to upgrade your 2009 MacBook Pro 17-inch? You can do that on Gizmogo in 3 steps. Our process is fast and easy. So you can be confident you will get excellent service.

Capacity info: The 17-inch MacBook Pro still has two video cards: the Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT, which has 512MB of dedicated memory, and the Nvidia GeForce 9400M, which shares 256MB of system memory; you can easily switch between them for better performance or battery life, though switching requires you to log out and back in.

Size and Weight info: The 17-inch variant is the same size as its predecessor, measuring 15.5 inches wide, 10.5 inches deep, just under an inch thick, and weighing 6.6 pounds.

Display info: The device comes with a 1920x1200 pixels display. The high resolution allows you to use two windows next to one other, which greatly expands the overall view. The drawbacks include the tiny UI components (fonts and icons) owing to the high DPI value of 133, which provides a considerably more accurate image when compared to the 15" MBP with 110 dpi and the 13" with 114 dpi.

Independent tests show that the backlit LCD panel, which was illuminated with white LEDs, attained a maximum brightness of 263 cd/m2. The brightness barely drops to 223 cd/m2 in the lower right corner, thanks to the good brightness distribution of 85 percent.

The display's brightness is automatically adjusted thanks to the built-in light sensor. This is fairly reliable, however owing to intense reflections, you will have to raise the brightness manually rather frequently.

Camera info: The device comes with a built-in iSight video camera, mic, and speakers. You should be able to use the camera for skype calls and other engagements that require camera. However, the camera is not for photography or any fancy recording. It struggles to deliver a non-grainy image.

Chip info: Performance-oriented DTR laptops, such as the Lenovo Thinkpad W700ds, have recently been outfitted with Quad-Core CPUs and high-end graphics cards. Apple lags behind in this area. The client only receives a mid-range graphics card (Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT) and a powerful dual-core processor due to the small chassis (Core 2 Duo T9550).

Battery info: A 95WH Lithium Polymer battery comes with this MacBook Pro. The battery has a 40% greater capacity than its predecessor and can hold 1000 charges, according to Apple (compared to the normal standard of 200-300 charges). Because the method for extracting the battery has been removed, the increased capacity is accomplished without requiring more room or weight.

Apple says that the battery can last for up to 8 hours. That's to be seen. However, keep in mind that the longevity of your laptop battery depends on the activity you're performing.
